Advanced EMT Flex Course Program Structure
Online Class Activities
At Georgia Institute of EMS, we take great pride in our online learning strategies. Our in house developed program gives students the ability to participate in online lectures 24 hours a day 7 days a week. All that is required is an Internet browser and a connection to the Internet.
Our easy to navigate system gives learners access to vital lectures virtually anytime and anywhere. Presented by instructors with 10 years and up field experience, our instructors present the information you need when you want it.
Hands On Labs
Hands-on labs are a vital part of Advanced EMT training. AEMT's must be able to apply what they have learned in the classroom in order to save lives. At GaIEMS, we will help students develop hands-on skills by offering skill labs and simulation exercises based on real-life experiences in the field.
The flex program for AEMTs allows students to schedule labs around their schedule. This aspect puts the Flex in the Flex program. All we ask is that you work with your assigned coach and give us at least two (2) weeks notice and we will do our best to accommodate your needs.
Field Clinical Training
Clinical training is often cited as being the best part of the course. Here, students will ride with an experienced preceptor that will introduce them to working in the field working with actual patients.
Georgia Institute of EMS has various clinical locations located all around Georgia. Our affiliated sites range from high volume emergency 911 services to low acuity non-emergency transport. It is important for future AEMTs to gain experience in all aspects of EMS and our clinical sites will give you the opportunities you need to succeed.
Featured Class: The AEMT Flex Program
The AEMT Flex Program was developed in order to help the non-tradional student whom needed maximum flexibility in order to achieve their goals of becoming an Advanced EMT. The AEMT Flex Program will allow the student to control the majority of educational program, allowing them to customize the program to meet their individual needs.
Upon acceptance to the program, you will be quickly assigned to one of our AEMT coach specialist. Your coach will be your primary point of contact and serve as your liaison between you and the school. Your coach will be able to help you schedule labs, sign up for clinical, navigate your mandatory paperwork, and help you with understanding course materials.
The AEMT Flex Program prepares students by enlisting the help of some of the areas most experienced EMS faculty. Our Flex Program utilizes three (3) core areas: In Hybrid / Online Learning, Hands On Labs, and In Field Clinical Learning.
